Upcoming Labor Day Closings in Town of Halifax

Important Notice for Residents and Visitors

Government Offices

All Town of Halifax government offices, including Town Hall, will be closed on Monday, September 5, 2023, in observance of Labor Day.

Offices will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, September 6, 2023.

Emergency Services

Emergency services, including police, fire, and ambulance, will continue to operate as usual.

In case of an emergency, please call 911.

Trash and Recycling Collection

Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the week of Labor Day.

Residents are asked to place their trash and recycling containers out for collection one day later than usual.

Other Town Facilities

The Halifax Public Library, Senior Center, and Recreation Center will also be closed on Labor Day, September 5, 2023.

These facilities will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, September 6, 2023.
