Court Extends Kejriwal's Detention, Dismisses Extraordinary Interim Bail Plea

Supreme Court Declines Early Hearing in Kejriwal's Petition

The Delhi High Court has strongly criticized the city government for its failure to provide textbooks to schools. During a hearing on Friday, the court expressed its displeasure with the ongoing situation, which has left numerous students without essential learning materials.

Meanwhile, a Delhi court has extended the pre-trial detention of opposition leader Arvind Kejriwal until further notice. The court also dismissed a plea seeking Kejriwal's release on extraordinary interim bail in all pending cases.

Separately, the Delhi High Court will hear Kejriwal's plea challenging the Enforcement Directorate's investigation against him. The court has scheduled a hearing on the matter for a later date.

In other news, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh is set to visit Punjab and meet with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann amid ongoing discussions within the party's leadership.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had declined an early hearing in Kejriwal's petition challenging the Delhi High Court's decision to deny him interim bail in a defamation case.
