WEB Hot Dog Eating Contest: New Champions Crowned

Bertoletti and Sudo Triumph in Historic Split Competition

WEB 2011 marked the first year since 1975 that the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest was held separately for men and women.

In the men's competition, Patrick Bertoletti of Chicago prevailed, consuming an impressive 58 hot dogs to claim victory. This triumph marked his first win in the esteemed contest.

In the women's competition, Miki Sudo made history by setting a new record of 51 hot dogs eaten. This achievement solidified her status as the undisputed champion in her category.

The absence of 16-time champion Joey Chestnut at this year's event created a noticeable void. Bertoletti succeeded Chestnut, who was barred from the competition following an incident in 2020.
