LibreOffice: Creating Animated GIF Images

Issue: Animated GIFs Not Running in Impress

Background:

When inserting animated GIFs into LibreOffice Impress presentations, users have encountered an issue where the animations do not play automatically. Instead, the images appear blank.

Solution:

To resolve this issue, you can double-click on the OLE object (the inserted GIF). This will launch LibreOffice Draw, where you can play the animation.

Additional Information:

This workaround applies to LibreOffice versions 4.2 and later. It is recommended to use LibreOffice Draw for creating and editing animated GIFs for optimal functionality.
